The Square Root Restaurant started in Brevard, NC. Until the 1960's, our Brevard building was home to the Transylvania Times. The Square Root was planted at the beginning of 2007. Much of what you see around you in that building is original. A history of popular colors (from white to 60's hot pink) were stripped to reveal the lovely copper patina, antique brick, and prism glass. The floor consists of 6,127 blocks of yellow pine cut from 6x6 posts to create tiles. The bar top is a milled slab of spalted Ambrosia Maple felled in recent years on King street here in town. It is a beautifully hand crafted piece of art, really. You must come in and see it yourself! After much success at the Brevard location, The Square Root Hendersonville joined the scene in October of 2012.
And as for the food.. it's FABULOUS! Owner and Executive Chef Adam graduated from culinary school at The Art Institute of Atlanta (with honors) in 1999, and has cooked at the Ritz Carlton, served as a private chef on a 150-ft. yacht, and worked as the executive chef for a prominent family in Connecticut. His goal is to deliver the best quality food, at an affordable price.
We hope to see you soon!!
